Riverside Canoe & Tube Rental, Inc. (our formal business name)  is a family owned and operated canoe livery located on the banks of the South Fork of the New River in Crumpler, NC. Riverside Canoe, a full service outfitter, offers New River canoeing in Northeastern Ashe County. With Riverside Canoe you can begin your adventures canoeing or kayaking on the beautiful south fork along the 26 mile section of the National Wild & Scenic New River. We offer canoe, kayak, tube, and cabin rentals. Our self guided New River paddling trips range from 5 miles to 11 miles, or overnight. The New River, which is believed to be the second oldest river in the world, with it's free flowing water and sections of mild rapids, is great for novice as well as experienced paddlers. Riverside Canoe is within a short drive to the New River State Parks, Jefferson and West Jefferson and convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Sparta and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the High Country ski areas.
